possibility of argument whether the English

Law respecting Company officers, whèse

liabilities are not treated of in the

Ordinance, does apply in his Majesty's

Supreme Court, it would appear desirable to

put the public, from whom such officers are

drawn, out of all doubt in the matter.

With regard to the Judge's suggested

difficulty in the appointment of inspectors

under the Hongkong Fire insurance Companţa

Ordinance, 1908, I should suppose the

appointments would be made by H.M. Linister

and the necessary addition made in Article

14 (3) of the Draft Order.

There is a further, perhaps minor

point which I venture to recommend for

adoption, and that is the insertion

before the word "resident" in line 2 of Article

8 (1)
